an ode to the educators i love

For a job that starts at 8 and ends at 3, you sure are working late. And your summers off – if you can afford to take them – are necessary mental health and restoration days.

These kids, there are a lot of them in homeroom. And knowledge isn’t valued as widely/in the same way that it used to be. And you’re trying to impart the lesson that it should be, at times without reinforcement, while the government is proposing cuts to education and rich folk tax breaks. Priorities.

And the school supplies you buy to make sure all your kids have the greatest opportunity to learn and their/your bulletin board is the flyest while illustrating a level of mastery in learning – we see you.
